BROWNSTOWN

It didn?t take long to get a response from Chayse Shell and Jared Adkins when asked about their favorite part of football.

?I like the passing,? said Adkins, a fifth-grader.

?I like how you get the ball and you get to run to the end zone without getting tackled or anything,? said Shell, a sixth-grader.

Last week, the annual 56er football camp took place at Brownstown Central High School for fifth- and sixth-graders, and the seventh- and eighth-graders went through camp at Brownstown Central Middle School. On Friday, 56er camp culminated with a punt, pass and kick competition, and the seventh- and eighth-grade boys scrimmaged.
